Will there be an error-corrected version of Head First Python?

A number of reviewers have mentioned a ridiculous number of typos in Head First Python. Is there a chance of an upgrade to the book, so that I can access a typo-free version? (I I tend to get very deflected by typos. Reporting errata, being confused by errant code, marking previously corrected errata in pen, etc.) I'll buy the book if it's been corrected. I am actually surprised, since I thought O'Reilly books were pretty much a gold standard. Will you restore my faith in O'Reilly, and let me know that I can buy this book, sans more than a small handful of errata?

  • Hello Marjorie,

Thanks for your interest in Head First Python. A second edition of Head First Python is estimated to be released in be July 2013. This new edition will most likely address some of the confirmed errata..

If you're interested the ebook version allows you to get free updates as they are added to the book. These updates can address confirmed errata. Have a great day!

    Kind regards,
