I’m pretty ticked....

Where is the index for Meaningful Use and Beyond?

I just purchased the book and there is no index. Why is this? Is this a new feature that O'Reilly hopes will catch on?

  • Hi,

Thank you for writing us. I'm sorry for the frustration, and that we were slow to respond. We haven't created indexes for some of the shorter books we've published recently, but we always want to be aware of how decisions like this affect readers, so we really appreciate your feedback. I'll pass your comment on to our Production Manager for consideration.

    Kind Regards,

Hi, Rachel. Thank you for your response. One other suggestion that I have is that if an index is not up for consideration, a glossary should be considered. Health informatics is a field that probably warrants one. I was anticipating that I would have some way to cross reference information. Unfortunately, the lack of an index prohibits that.

By the way, I am using this text to support a new Introduction to Health Informatics course that I am taking this semester at the University of Montana. Since a textbook was not chosen for this class, I figured that this would complement the class.

    Thanks again for your response.
