I’m confused

Updated copy of "Kafka: The Definitive Guide" not available

Hi, I received an email notification of an updated ebook copy of "Kafka: The Definitive Guide" but I don't have it from my account. When will I get the updated version?

Thanks

    Hi Vic,
I checked your account and I do see that you have permissions to this title, so I'll send you a download link to it. If you have any further problems with this, please drop us a line to accounts@oreilly.com so we can assist you.

    Cheers

    Hi Tai,
Thanks for the download links, I was able to get the updated version!

I forgot to tell you that I used the "send to dropbox" button and received the wrong version, which may be the issue here. The individual links are corrects (which are those you sent me).

It maybe because on my products page, it says that this book was updated on May 8, 2017 instead of May 22, 2017.

    Anyway, thanks for you help.
    Vic

    Hi Vic,
Thanks for getting back to us. The API for syncing titles to DropBox is not working properly (and hasn't been for a while), and we are considering not continuing to have this feature on our site any longer as it's still really hit or miss. In the syncing process, it will first remove the file and then replace it, and in the process of replacing the file it will sometimes sync an out of date version or miss it entirely.  Until a solution is found, we recommend downloading the books to your PC and then uploading them manually to your DropBox account.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you!

    Cheers
    Tai H.
