Think Like a Programmer Exercises 2 hash marks and end of line

In "Think Like a Programmer" by V. Anton Spraul , Exercises 2.1 he says : "Using the same rule as the shapes programs from earlier in the chapter (only
two output statements—one that outputs the hash mark and one that outputs
an end-of-line), write a program that produces the following shape"
But I can't figure out how to do the shape without 'cout << " ";' any suggestions.
