In "Think Like a Programmer" by V. Anton Spraul , Exercises 2.1 he says : "Using the same rule as the shapes programs from earlier in the chapter (only
two output statements—one that outputs the hash mark and one that outputs
an end-of-line), write a program that produces the following shape"
But I can't figure out how to do the shape without 'cout << " ";' any suggestions.

Sorry for the delay in responding.
I'm not familiar with that book, since it's a No Starch Press book, but it looks like the text in the chapter shows you how to do that. It's similar to the problem on page 26, where they show you how to do half a square, but you probably need another loop to give it that shape.
