I'd like the ability to subscribe to a book.
Once I've subscribed to a book, if the book is not yet in print, I get an email once it is released, if I have a version of the book and a new version comes out, I get an email and a special offer to buy the new book, if there are erratum or new code or anything to do with this book, I get an email

We do have the 'Rough Cuts" series that lets you get in on the action by getting you early access to the up and coming releases.
You can find more info, here:

You can sign up for newsletters for products pertaining to your interests by going into your account on oreilly.com and going to the "newsletters" section.
There you can choose to be alerted on new developments and releases.
If you have ebooks in your account, you typically are notified when newer, updated versions are released.
Sounds like we've got most of the bases covered, no? :)

Customer Service Rep,
Well I don't like Safari, it is far too expensive, I much prefer buying the PDF version of the book or getting the hard cover from Amazon and getting the PDF from Oreilly with the special code.
It is good to know about getting update email when a book I have in my library is updated. I have boxes of books, most of them I've not entered in my account as some are quite old !
What is not covered .. Well I'd like to be notified when Programming Python 4th edition comes out ? I could pre-order it but at almost $65 I prefer wainting when Amazon or HCW here in Beglium have it in stock, it will be cheaper!
I see no information on the book page as how to get notified when it is out!
Just a thought!
