R in a Nutshell -- errata?

Hi,

I just bought the "R in a Nutshell" ebook. On page 21 of the PDF (chapter 3), it says:

In R, there are two additional operators that can be used for assigning values to
symbols. First, you can use a single equals sign (“=”) for assignment.† This operator
assigns the symbol on the left to the object on the right.

I am new to R so maybe I missed something, but should that last sentence read the following?

This operator assigns the object on the right to the symbol on the left.
