Egads! The latest MOBI edition of "Practical Electronics: Components and Techniques" ballooned to 595MB, the previous version was at 47MB. Now it won't even fit on my ereader.
Interestingly, the MOBI version grew far more than the PDF version. The PDF used to be larger at 77MB, now it's 367MB.
What happened? Can this possibly be made smaller? It's really clumsy in it's current size.

I heard back from our ebooks team about this today and they shrunk the files as much as they could without affecting the quality of the ebook.
They got the ePub file down to 147.5MB and the Mobi file to 266.4MB
That is still kind of large, but that's the best we can do with this book,

Would it be too much to ask to compress the image files? I ran pngquant on the assets dir and was able to reduce the size of the images from 133 MB to 62 MB. I opened a few of the images and couldn't discern any loss of resolution.
Just making a request because some services have a file size limit of 100 MB and it would be nice to be able to continue using that service rather than switching to a different reader.
