OS X Mountain Lion - The Missing Manual is not searchable in PDF

I have bought the PDF version of OS X Mountain Lion: The Missing Manual, and it is not searchable in either Safari or iAnnotate on the iPad. One of the attractions for me of e-books is searchability. Will you make a searchable version available? Thanks!

  • Hi Carl,
Sorry for the delay in responding to you about this. The PDF should be searchable if you're using iBooks ( a great free App that integrates with iTunes).

We have found that it's the best App to read PDF's and ePubs on the iPa, and you can download it here:
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ibooks...

You may have to re-download the eBook from your account, tap on the screen and select "open in iBooks" once it's been installed, and you should be able to search as normal.

If you have any other questions about our eBooks, you can contact our booktech staff at booktech@oreilly.com or give us a ring at 1-800-889-8969 and they would be happy to help.

If you have any further questions or require further assistance,
    You can contact us at:
