I've ordered a book from O'Reilly more than one week ago, but I get no feedback, my order shows that is awaiting shipping but there is no estimate. O'Reilly doesn't answer my emails either.
I'm not in the US, but I ordered that book directly from O'Reilly because it wasn't in stock from local retailers. Now it available here but I'm stuck because of this order, what should I do?
I could ask Visa to block it until they finally decide to reply, I've done that with another unwilling Internet store in the past and it went well, but I'd rather avoid that if there is an easier solution. It's weird that users can't cancel their orders in such situation, and that they are not even given an estimate of the deliveries, nor the stock status.

In the meantime, I added the ebook of the book your ordered to your account. You can access it at https://members.oreilly.com/account/emedia.
I'm sorry for the confusion with your order, but we'll look into this and let you know what's going on. Thanks for contacting us this way, since we seem to have missed your earlier emails.
O'Reilly Media, Inc.
We are very sorry for the delay in informing you what was happening with your order.
Cooking for Geeks turned out to be a very popular book and we ran out of stock quickly. The reason your book was has not shipped out is because we are still waiting for more stock to come in. Our apologies again for the frustration.
I have canceled your order.
If there is anything else we can do to help please let us know.
