If I follow the link in an email deal on my mobile I get taken to a mobile version of the book's page which has almost not details compared to the full page. If I try to use full site link I get taken to the home page, and then if I click the link deal I get taken back to the mobile page of the book.
Result - unless I use my desktop I can find no details on he book, so will not buy it.
You are making assumptions about what version of the site, and so the content, that I want, based on my device, not my preferences. This is as bad as making bad accessibility assumptions. In particular:
1) I should be able to view my current page on full website or mobile as I CHOOSE, not just have a a link to the home page.
2) you should remember I wanted the full/mobile site.
