Misrepresentation by the publisher.

I bought Windows Annoyances by D Karp and all through, this out the book you are constantly referred back to the software location ( http://www.creativelements.com/powert....) this location does not exist so the technical referrances made are completely useless. THIS BOOK IS A WASTE OF MY HARD EARNED CASH!!!!!! Where can I find or purchase this software? Please reply. Thanks in advance; Ed Bouche'

P.S. I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. I will never buy another O'reilly publication.

  • Hello Edward,

I do apologize for this. Unfortunately I have made an effort to get more information about the Creative Elements Power Tools software, and it does seem like this is not available. O'Reilly books have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and more information on this can be found here: http://shop.oreilly.com/category/cust....

Again we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. I will be e-mailing you directly with some information that will hopefully make this situation better.

    Best regards,

  • "Creative Element Power Tools" (2.0MB) can be downloaded (for free use?) from,
    https://www.windowsadvisor.co.uk/?p=1...
When I tried to install it on my Windows 7 pc,it declared "Installer is only for Windows XP". (I imagine the software MIGHT need revision to RUN under Win7.)
I am a fan of OReilly Books (especially their selling books in pdf-format free
    of copy protection).
I'm guessing that the employee above was just not creative (or lucky?) enough to find this download website.
I'm guessing that this software was not mentioned in the later book,
    "Windows 7 Annoyances".

Today, I found this software mentioned while searching for alternative softwares to Comparator, on AlternativesTo.net.
I used a Google search (re: Buy "Creative Elements Power Tools") to locate
the download webpage, which also referenced THIS webpage.
