I am interested in "MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-680): Configuring Windows® 7". On the Microsoft page (http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/...) it states that the EBook is part of the kit, yet it is advertised as an additional part of a package on the store page.
I am wondering why this so, and if there is a difference between them.
Thank you, great question!
The eBook we offer on the store page - gives you the whole book in 4 different formats (Android, Mobi, PDF, ePub). The eBook refered to on the Microsoft page, is the complementary materials for the title which include examples, sample chapters, practice tests, etc. The great news is this material is available on our store catalog page for the title, on the left, under the picture of the book. Here is the link: http://oreilly.com/catalog/9780735627...
Please let us know if you have any other questions regarding this title or any others. You an also submit your book related questions to email@example.com
Preparing for a Microsoft exam is no petty task. Without practice tests, cetification candidates are put at a severe disadvantage. The fact that this critical piece of the 'kit' is being left out should be disclosed during the purchase process. It is not. When you get to the first part of the book that reads "Take a practice test"
you get that cold hollow feeling that you've been ripped off!
The Companion Content for the Microsoft Training Kit ebooks are located in the "ebooks" section of "your products". They appear as a separate format to download, and are labeled "CD Content". Save the .zip file and extract the files. In the CD Content folder, open the practice test folder and run the Setup file to install the Practice Tests on your PC.
