I’m sad

Low quality on printed copies from Amazon

Hi,

I am about to order two unreleased books from O'reilly, and I was thinking on doing it through Amazon. However, I am concerned as I was extremely disappointed with the last O'reilly's book I ordered from them –the excellent Alvin Alexander's "Scala Cookbook". That book was poorly printed: the characters appear as a discernible collection of points instead of sharp lines, up to the point that I should have returned the copy. Therefore, I would like to know if buying from them or from you would make any difference.

Thanks,

  • Hello Ignacio,

There should be no difference concerning the printing of our books if you purchase them from O'Reilly or from Amazon. However there are benefits from purchasing print books directly from O'Reilly. Such as when a new edition of the book is release you will get 40% off of the print version of this book or 50% off the ebook. If you own one of our print books you can register the print book and be able to purchase the ebook for $4.99.

So I can further investigate the printing of this book if you could provide me the code that should be on the last page of the book that would be greatly appreciated.

    Best regards,
