I’m sad.

Learning PHP, MySQL and Javascript app unreadable since upgrading to iOS6

I am using a 4th generation iPod touch and the pagination isn't working correctly. The pages are cut off and then when I go to the next page it isn't the continuation at all but a completely new topic.

I've tried different formatting options as well as making the font bigger or smaller and it just doesn't work. I'm missing out on a lot of information now.

This did all work properly previously on iOS5

What can I do to fix this? Are you guys working on a fix?

  • Hi April,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your app. We're unable to update the O'Reilly iOS book apps, so we are removing them from the iTunes Store. We'd like to offer free ebook bundles to all customers who purchased O'Reilly books via the iTunes Store. Most ebook bundles include the book in multiple ebook formats—PDF, EPUB, and Mobi—and there is no DRM on any of the files. You will have lifetime access to the ebook files, and can download the them as often as you like and read them on the reading device of your choice. When we publish an update of the ebook (with errata fixes and/or content updates), you will receive a notification and can download the update at no additional cost. To capitalize on this offer, please take the following steps:

    1. Create an account on oreilly.com.

    2. Send a screenshot of the apps that you've purchased to accounts@oreilly.com. Be sure to include the email address you used to create your oreilly.com account.

That's it! We will send you a link to the ebook when we've added it to your account.

Alternatively, you can extract the EPUB from the iOS app and read it in iBooks or another EPUB reader. Please see this post -

    I hope that helps,
