I’m frustrated

Is "Programming Windows 8 Apps with C#" a dead project?

The last update to "Programming Windows 8 Apps with C#" occurred in August 2012, nothing since. The first four chapters remain missing, as does the ToC and other swathes of important material for a cohesive book. I'm just wondering whether the author has any intention of finishing this title any time soon?

I expected early release titles to be frequently-updated and incomplete, not moribund and incomplete. The latter offers little actual benefit, esp. given the chapter order in which this title is being completed rendering it very difficult to follow in its current state.
