Is book in Black and White or full Color like the preview?

Are all your books now printed in black and white? I just ordered an O'Reilly book from Amazon and it was in black and white, not colored like the preview pdf. To read code with syntax highlighting and graphs, it is best viewed in color. I sent the book back and order it from Indigo, should I expect this one to also be in black and white? The book I'm wondering about has the title: Introduction to Machine Learning with Python: A Guide for Data Scientists

  • Hi Anders.

The majority of our books are printed in black and white, including Introduction to Machine Learning with Python. If we printed the books in color, we would need to charge more for them, as printing costs would go up.

I'm sorry that the lack of color in the print book is a problem for you. If you're not satisfied with the book, you should be able to get a refund from Indigo.

You mentioned that you viewed a preview PDF of this book that was in color. If you use the "Look Inside" feature on Amazon, you'll see that the preview of the book is in black and white. I don't know for certain whether the Kindle version available from Amazon is in color, but the ebook version of the book that we sell on oreilly.com is in color.

If you decide to keep the print book and register it with O'Reilly (http://oreilly.com/register/), you can get the ebook version for a steep discount. That way, you'd have both the print version and the full-color ebook bundle.

    Best,
