I purchased iPhoto the missing manual (2014 release) specifically to help with the managing of iPad photos. However, under iOS 8, iPhoto is no longer available. So I regret having purchased the book as it is out of date.
I purchased the book as a Kindle version through Amazon. I plan to ask for a refund, but I think that y'all have some responsibility as the description implies that it is up to date with latest software as it is not.

Thank you for your message, and I certainly understand your frustration. When Apple completely redesigned iPhoto for iOS earlier this year, we had no way of knowing they would completely abandon it before the year was out. And even after they announced that they would no longer support or update it when the Photos app became their new standard, it was a complete shock to find them actually disable it completely with the release of iOS 8.
This is certainly disappointing for many reasons. While the book technically still covers what it claims to cover (iPhoto 2.0 for iOS), you correctly note that it is not very useful after a user upgrades to iOS 8, at which point the app itself becomes unusable. So, again, I apologize if you felt mislead by the book's description, which we only recently realized is no longer as up-to-date as it needs to be and are now working on correcting.
