iApp bugreport

"Active Directory by William R. Stanek- Administrator's Pocket Consultant" -- ipod/iphone edition.

There's a popup at least the last 5 times that I have been running updates on my ipod. The quoted title is more of an ebook, but it's a book/app that I bought on my ipod over a couple months ago. There's this bug which I summarize below.

Bug appears as an alert popup from the AppStore app saying that app "Active Dir.." wasn't able to be updated. This same popup re-occurs everytime I run updates or randomly (but not often) when my ipod checks for updates in the background. This is less an apple company issue, unless you want me to e-mail apple, but they'll just refer me to tell back at the makers of the app.
If your ebook/app passed a quality assurance from apple then I hope this one thing can be fixed-- It would not look good if I said there's this constant bug to apple support.. so please fix it with apple.

  • Hi Jason,
I responded directly to your email to us, but I'm answering here in case anyone else has this problem.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with our iPhone app. I believe the problems you are having are caused by the IOS 5 update. The apps worked fine until that update. Here is a blog post that has simple instructions for extracting the ePub ebook file from that app, so you can read it in iBooks. (The app is really just a special version of the Stanza reader wrapped around the ePub file.) -

    I hope that helps,

  • Thank you Chris :) The posted solution worked..

For others: To work along with zef.me instructions, after you make the .epub file, drag the .epub file from your File navigator (be it Finder on the Mac, or Explorer on windows) .. drag it to the Library/Books node on iTunes.
