I’m confused, which makes me anxious

I don't seem to have the magic to make send to Kindle work

I click send to kindle, get a couple of dialog boxes that claim to be processing the request, but I don't seem to get the book(s) in my Kindle account. So what is supposed to happen when you click send to Kindle?

I can download and move the mobi file around, but I just assumed send to Kindle would be a bbit more convenient.

  • Hi Matt,

I'd be happy to help. If you click Send to Kindle the title should get sent, but this might take a little time to process. Also, if a title is around 50MB it isn't available for the Send to Kindle option as Amazon has a size limit of 50MB for the mobi file. I hope this helps, and if you have any other questions please let me know.

  • Thanks. I found out why: I had to add O'Reilly to my list of emails inside Amazon. Hopefully this will help others because according to the email I got, they only notify you once that you need to add email addresses that you can receive files from inside manage Kindle. This implies that if I have a similar situation from a different publisher I just may never get the file.

Maybe publishers can lobby to get added automatically.
