How to print out iPhone SMS Text Messages on my PC?

Hi Guys,

I have been searching for an easy way to print out iPhone text messages but haven’t found it. Can you guys suggest me something to print my iPhone text conversations?

P.S- Don’t ask me to do "Screen Shots" then email thing as I have several SMS to print.

Please note: I asked this question a year ago and as already mentioned my problem has been solved. Instructions given in this guide http://www.iphone-to-pc.com/how-print-iphone-text-messages-pc.html helped me printing SMS conversations of my iPhone.

So please guys do not add more replies especially those promotional answers. This is a useful topic and it will definitely help others, those who are looking to transfer or print their iPhone text messages.

  • Hi Patricia

Sorry for the late response. The step by step guide to printing iPhone text messages you've mentioned in your reply was pretty helpful. I can finally print SMS from my iPhone. Thanks for your time. Tansee is also useful to backup or transfer iPhone text messages to PC.

If you’re using iOS 7, you can easily transfer and print iPhone SMS (text messages). First take a screenshot (by pressing Home" button and the "Sleep/Wake) and then AirPrint the screenshot a nearby Airprint capable printer. This is a perfect method if you want to print single or only few text messages of your iPhone.

The tutorial you've mentioned to print iphone text messages looks promising. To be honest I prefer this screenshot method to print out my iPhone sms. I wish that in the next iOS update Apple add some feature in iTunes or iCloud to transfer iPhone text messages to a computer

Thanks for this useful topic! Before reading this I had no idea that it is even possible to transfer iPhone sms messages to computer and print them directly from a PC. I was looking to print out my iPhone text messages for a complicated legal matter. The classic screenshot method is kind of useless.

I think it's important to note that the program being promoted will - without notification, when you plug in your phone - remove a chunk of your texts from all of the active texting groups you have. The program leaves the first month or so and then removes everything back after for several months. It will only display the ~first (oldest) 10 texts. Only when you purchase the program and activate it will you have all of the "missing" texts back - in it's system. They were not returned to my phone.

I'm not trashing the program (although I think the printouts could be "tighter" instead of looking like a blown up screenshot). I just think it would be better if the "User" had all of this information up front. Seems a bit wonky to me.

Thanks tracy.a for your instructions to transfer and print iphone text messages. Software worked for me without any problems and errors. I’m using the iPhone 5s running on ios 7.1. Here are the few “unsuccessful solutions” I tried to print sms from my phone:

A Forwarding text messages: Forwarding messages from the messages app strips out useful information, including who said what, date and time information, and instead just lists all the content with no context.

    B. Taking screenshots: Who can take 20-30 screenshots? Without a doubt, it’s a time-consuming affair.

    C. Airplay mirroring: I could be wrong but it’s only possible if you have a Mac computer. I’m using a Windows PC.

In the end, I followed the guide mentioned by you and well it did the job. Peace!

+1, I was looking to print a long text conversation from my iPhone 5 with exact date and time information. This software has easily detected my iPhone and populated a list of my SMS and imessages on its interface in a systematic way.
There is also a possibility of getting the iPhone sms messages without any app/program into an email only if you’re not concerned about the speaker, i.e., who said what:

    1. Open the text messages on your iPhone and hold until more/copy option appears
    2. Choose the copy option
    3. Copy the text and send it to your email address.

  • Thanks Tracy, this is incredibly useful. I've been searching for a way to transfer text messages from my iPhone to my computer without losing important meta information (date, time, etc.) and this app did great job for me. There is an option to print iphone texts too but that wasn't needed anyway. Forwarding iphone text messages to email is free but it strips out useful meta information. Phoneview app also looks interesting but it's for mac users only.

  • The easy way I think is that you take photos for the SMS and then transfer them from iPhone to computer.
