How do I join an online training? Are there any pre-requisites on my machine to join the training?

There are no details from the email I received after signing up for an online training except that there will be a button to join the training at the time of training. Not even sure where that will be.

  • Thank you for asking Michael, you will access your account at www.oreilly.com - your products - training --- the training link will be available in your account the day before the training starts. Also, you will receive an email from us with details how to access the training and our dedicated slack channel to use to communicate with the instructor and fellow students during the training. We look forward to seeing you online next week. Best, Liz

Thank you for the response Liz.

I signed up and paid for an online training on "A Design-Based Approach to Microservice Architecture" (order #: OT-MICRO-ARCH-16-6) on Oct 10, and the training was supposed to have happened on Oct 20, 2016 at 10:00AM – 11:30AM PT.

I received the receipt and registration confirmation on Oct 10, but did not receive any further communications regarding about the training. I have checked through the junk folder and Inbox.

I logged in to my account 8 hours ago, but did not see any "Join Event" button. I am attending this training from a different timezone and it is midnight for me for where I am attending this. And it has been disappointing.

Has the training been canceled? Rescheduled?

I would really appreciate communication of any changes ahead of time, so I could better plan my time.

Looking forward to hearing from you again.
