How do I download ePub to iPhone?

I see the instructions to "grab the ePub or PDF version and read it in iBooks", how do I do that? Clicking the ePub link from the "Your Products" page does not seem to do anything.

Thanks in advance,

  • Hi Michael,

Are you trying to get the ePub into iBooks on your computer or on an IOS device?
If you are using iBooks on a Mac, just click on the ePub format button under the book's title to download the ePub. That will download to your Download folder, and double-clicking on it will open it in iBooks.

For an IOS device, just log into your oreilly.com account from your device and download the ePub into the Safari browser. Safari won't know how to open it and will ask "Open in iBooks?". Just tap on that and it will be sent to your iBooks app on your device.

    I hope that helps,

  • Hi Chris,

It finally worked just as you described. I am using an iPhone and when I clicked on the ePub button it would either appear to show some progress and then stop, or would get to a blank page at what seemed to be Amazon Web Services and then stop. After reading your note at home I tried again and voila. Could have been poor connectivity on my side, but at least I know how it should go now.

Thanks for you help, I appreciate it!

    Best,

    Michael
