Errors Resulting When Executing Code from "Mining The Social Web" book.

While reading the "Mining the Social Web" book I ran into an issue where the third line of example code listed below is resulting in an error. The error is to large to include in this question. However, I have listed a portion of it below. Does anyone have an idea what is causing this error?

>>> import twitter
>>> twitter_api = twitter.Twitter(domain="api.twitter.com", api_version = '1')
>>> trends = twitter_api.trends()

-serif; text-align:center }
#containter { width: 755px; margin: 0 auto: padding: 0px
