I’m confused, frustrated

Ebook Prototype to Production has incorrect file for download

Hi There,
I've received 2 emails recently about content update for the book "Prototype to Production, 1st Edition".

The first email from March 30,2015 says: "The March 25, 2015 revisions to the Early Release formats of Prototype to Product, 1st Edition, now includes the addition of Chapter 6."

The second email from April 6th,2015 says: "The April 3, 2015 revisions to the early release materials of Prototype to Product, 1st Edition now includes chapters 7 and 8.

But when I click on the email link and download the ebook (pdf or any other format), the file is the exact same old one without chapters 6, 7 and 8.

Are you guys sending emails, but forgetting to update your download library?
I am not what the problem is... could you please take a look at it?

Thank you

  • Hi Flavio,

I just downloaded the PDF and the ePub format of that book from our system and I can see Chapters 6, 7 and 8 included in them.
Try going into your oreilly.com account to the Your Products page and download them again.   You might want to throw away your
old version first, as that might be getting opened instead of the new one.

  • Hi Chris.
    Thanks for the reply.
I've tried everything... changing computers, cleaning cache, etc... nothing worked. I still can only download the file containing 5 chapters... weird huh?

The only thing I though that could be preventing me from seeing the new chapters is the fact that I got this ebook for free from Oreilly. So I am assuming that I can only access those chapters from the free version?!?... no sure.

If you can, I give you permission to access my Oreilly account to check this further.
Thanks for your time and attention.

Here is the email I got offering me the free ebook:

  • Hi Flavio,

I checked your account and you have the correct ebook in there.   I just sent you download links from inside of your account.
Which ebook format are you using?   I just double-checked the PDF and those chapters are there.
