DOWNLOADS FOR MYSQL COOKBOOK by Paul DuBois

In using the book "MySQL Cookbook" by Paul DuBois I downloaded the recipe.tar.gz, but I haven't been able to open it to save the typing in using the examples. Is there anything special I have to do in order the open the application and use the examples?

  • Mr. Tai Hake,

I understand that this is an easy question to answer because O'Reilly Media is responsible for the book. However, I haven't received an answer although it is marked as if somebody answered me.

The answer of drop us a line, which I did, cannot account as an answer to the question. Opening the website and the download is part of the services book buyers are supposed to receive when acquiring the book.

If you don't have an answer to that, you can certainly contact the author.

    I'll keep waiting.

    Thanks,

    Ramon

  • Hi Ramon,
I'm sorry, I didn't see any email that you sent directly to booktech@oreilly.com. with the specifics of your issue. I'd be happy to forward it to the author if we can't solve it directly. What edition of the book are you working with? Can you send a screenshot of any error messages you're getting as well so we can see what you're seeing?

    Cheers,
    Tai H.
