Deal of the day discount error, support mail bounce

Hi guys,

I tried to use the visualization deal of the day (code WKDATAV, ending May 25 5am PST), but it didn't work, see below. I then tried to report it to orders@oreilly.com, according to http://shop.oreilly.com/category/cust..., but I got a bounce.

You seem to have double trouble. :-) I'm happy if you at least fix one of the issues by giving me the discount.

Subject: Fwd: Last chance! Save 50% on Data Visualization Ebooks

I am trying to use this deal of the day, which has not yet expired. The discount code does not work, however. It claims that I do not meet the criteria for the discount.

I'd like to buy the following books at 50% discount:

Could you please arrange so that I get the discount?

  • Hello lars.albertsson,

I apologize the discount code didn't work. It appears as if the first e-mail you sent to orders@orielly.com contained a typo as the email should be orders@oreilly.com (as opposed to @orielly.com). If you write to orders@oreilly.com we will work on getting you a discount code for 50% off of the books you'd like. Also, feel free to call us at the below number and we're happy to help you out that way:

Hope this helps and have a great day!
