Creating an image of an entire Visio drawing page

In "Visio 2010 Step by step" on page 250 there is a tip on how to create an image of an entire Visio drawing page. In regards to technique 1, what tool is used to draw a rectangle? Is this the tool in the developer tab? If so, how do you set the rectangle to have no fill? Thanks.

  • Hello Tim,

Here is the authors response to your question:

"The tool I was referring to is on the Home tab, in the Tools group. The Rectangle tool is immediately to the right of the Pointer Tool (see below). If something other than a rectangle is displayed, click the down arrow to select the rectangle tool.

When you draw the rectangle, it will have a black outline and a white fill. Use the Fill and Line tools, also on the Home tab, to adjust the fill and line.

Two good places to ask questions like this:

    · The Visio zone at Experts Exchange (a fee-based service on which I answer questions regularly)

    · The Visio section at Microsoft Answers (free)"

Hope this helps and have a great day!
