The page for the new edition of Programming Android by Mednieks, Dornin, Meike, and Nakamura, at http://shop.oreilly.com/product/06369... , says that it is updated for Ice Cream Sandwich, or Android 4.0.
However, Jelly Bean, or Android 4.1, is already out as of early July 2012.
I realize it might be asking too much at this stage of production of the book, but if this title could incorporate information on changes applicable to Jelly Bean, perhaps just simply as a separate chapter or two tacked onto the end (as opposed to incorporated through the body of the text), I think that would be desirable and extend the lifetime of this edition of the book. Even if these changes could only be made to the electronic editions of the book as a subsequent update of the book, that would be acceptable (since if I purchase a copy it will be an e-book copy).
Thanks for your consideration of this idea.
