confusion on different editions of excel 2003 queries

what is the differences between excel 2003 printed on the front cover and just excel on the front cover. The former has 2003 printed big. The latter does not have 2003 printed big. Both have smaller wordings on the top right corner that says 'cover versions 2002 & 2003'

  • Hi,

Microsoft constantly releases new updates, versions, office suites and new operating systems into the marketplace so the relevant documentation created to support MS Office products constantly gets revised and of course, the covers of our books get updated and edited to reflect these changes in technology.

Excel: The Missing Manual Covers all the features of Excel 2002 and 2003, the most recent versions for Windows. ( ~ in 2004 when the book was first released into the bookstores.)
