I’m frustrated

Chapter 18 of ActionScript3 cookbook

I cannot run the sender class from the Chapter 18 of ActionScript3 CookBook(page 430). It comes a error of :
Error #2044: Unhandled StatusEvent:. level=error, code=

  • Sounds like you probably haven't started the receiving .swf before running the sending .swf. Generally that is the cause of that issue. The error message Flash player shows you isn't very helpful in that regard. Probably that's the issue, though. I ran a Google search for "Error #2044: Unhandled StatusEvent:. level=error, code=", and seems like a lot of people have that issue. You can see that generally it's due to the receiving .swf not running yet. However, it can also be due to domain issues if the two .swfs are on different domains, in which case you need to use allowDomain(). Also, it can be due to more than one .swf running with a connection to the same connection name, which won't work. All connections must have unique names.
