Blender Masterclass Ebook DVD?

I just purchased an ebook version of the Blender Masterclass book. Apparently there is a DVD with project files in the paper version. Is it possible to get these files in downloadable version? If not, this needs to be made obvious to purchasers before they buy the ebook since it significantly reduces the value of he ebook.

  • Hello Adrian,

Thanks for your interest in Blender Master Class. The project files for the DVD can be downloaded here: http://www.mininova.org/tor/13208082. Hope this helps and have a great day!

  • Dear Paul,

Many thanks for the reply. The site you refer to is a BitTorrent Site!!! Really? I have also tried all day to download the DVD from there with zero success. I have to say I'm rather disappointed here. All the other software packages that have accompanied O'Reilly books have been accessible from, let me say more reputable web locations such as GitHub, Sourceforge etc. I will try once more to download from the aforementioned site, but I'm not hopeful. And again, really? BitTorrent?

  • Dear Paul,

Just to let you know that I was eventually able to download the file in question. HOWEVER, to do so I had to install software on my computer that I did not wish to have there. This software then proceeded to alter many of my web browser preferences, install unwanted browser extensions and ultimately was non-trivial to uninstall. This is not what I would call responsible computing!!

I have to admit that this experience has dented the previous high regard that I have held O'Reilly in. I appreciate that the book may not be directly published by O'Reilly, but in future I would implore you to live up to your standards and ensure that software associated with such books is available from safe, reliable sites.

    Thanks,

    Adrian
