I’m frustrated

Are O'Reilly books from Amazon printed on demand?

I ordered from "Managing Projects with GNU Make" 3rd edition, by Robert Mecklenburg. I received a book that seems to be "printed on demand' from a PDF file. In particular, the binding is a low-budget, fragile binding, and not, as stated in the book, an original RepKover lay-flat binding. My suspect is enforced by the fact that on the last page is printed "Made in the USA - Lexington, KY - 12 March 2011", also immediately before the shipping. I'm very disappointed.
