    Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We'd love to see if we can help you find a solution. Which book are you referring to?

  • Hello Daniel,

    Thanks for getting back to me, I'm using JavaScript & JQuery-2nd edition. My problem is in Chapter 10's anythingslider tutorial. I tried searching on the web to see if there were any others with this issue, and while I found no one else, I did find other references to this tutorial, (including an older 1st ed copy which had four examples) where the numbered buttons and start button didn't work as well.

    I'm new to the O'Reilly site, (although this book is my second missing manual, really learning from you) I tried to also ask another question but the site wanted me to log on even though I had logged in already so I couldn't submit it. I got frustrated and crashed out but maybe if I ask now?

    In Chapter 4 there is the content_functions.html example page - really a great way to see how things work - I played with it for some time and for whatever reason at one point I looked at the source code and found that I never got the text from line 28:
    var reloadHTML=' The message box is gone! You used either the .replaceWith() of .remove() function. Click here to re-create the message box.';

    When I started with this book the first thing I did was markup my copy with the corrections from the errata page. Now I'm starting the last chapter and in addition to the two issues above I also found a number of other typos etc - is there going to be a 3rd ed? If so I'd be happy to pass them on.

    Thanks, George

    I don't show any information on a 3rd edition at the moment. However, if you would like, you can submit any errata you come across at http://www.oreillynet.com/cs/catalog/.... You can view already submitted errata for this title here http://oreilly.com/catalog/errataunco....
