Allow members to vote and consider adding a warranty to your books

I think the errata support sites could some some improvement in two ways. First, it would great if the unconfirmed errata would allow the community members to vote on whether they agree with the posted correction. I undertsand that authors cannot support a book forever and this would be a great compromise. Which leads me to my next suggestion. I think authors should consider offering some kind of warranty system. For example, they could say that they will agree to review all errata for a period of say 9 months from the time that the book is published. This can be a win-win situation for the author and the reader. Readers will have the incentive to buy the book right away so that they can post questions that will be answered and authors will have a big boost in initial sales over competitors.
