Accessing all my files in Windows 10 -- How?

Windows 10 denies me access to many folders and files, including files that I would assume would be open to anyone, like Favorites and Videos. Pogue's Missing Manual has only a single paragraph on this topic, reserved for "power users". Is there an efficient, global way to open all these files to me, the only user of this system?

    Hi Judson,
If you're the only user of the computer your account *should* be an administrator and  able to be able view all those folders and files. Since we're unfortunately unable to offer general support for Microsoft products here, we recommend contacting their support team directly, which you can do here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/ . They should be able to determine the particulars of your situation here and help you get access to those resources.

    Cheers
    Tai H.
