"Visual C# 2008 Step by Step" and "Visual C# 2010 Step by Step" differences?

I just about finish reading “Visual C# 2008 Step by Step” and now I want to learn the new features of C# 2010. I found the book “Visual C# 2010 Step by Step” which seems to be almost the same as the 2008 version and I don’t see anywhere any info which parts are new in that book. It would be a lot of work to read the whole book just to learn the new features. Is there somewhere some info what is new in the 2010 book or another similar book only about the new features?

  • Hi,

Thanks for your interest in these books. If you want to learn about new features in Visual C# and Visual Studio 2010, you might take a look at What's New in Visual Studio 2010 and http://www.codeguru.com/vb/vb_internet/aspnet/article.php/c15645. The Visual Studio Wikipedia page also has a good summary description of Visual Studio 2010.

Once you see what's new in 2010, you can preview the table of contents and some of the 2010 book's content on Safari Books Online to see if there are topics you would like to learn more about in 2010.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you still have questions.
