"Learning Android" vs "Programming Android"

Hello all,

How do these two titles compare? I've already got "Learning Android" (yet to read it!), and am wondering if there would be any value in owning "Programming Android" too, now or later on?

Regards,
Richard.

  • Hello Richard,

I'd be happy to help. Learning Android appears to be more of an introductory title. There is a description of who Programming Android is for in the Preface of the book and it is as follows:

"In short, this is a book for people with some relevant experience in object-oriented languages, mobile applications, RESTapplications, and similar disciplines who want to go further than an introductory book or online tutorials will take them."

I hope this helps and have a great day!
