I’m frustrated

*.ipa is unusable--why?

I presumed that I could read this (IIS Admn Pkt 1.0.ipa) with a conventional reader. I have neither an iPad nor an iPod touch. although I have Adobe Digital Editions). So, how can I read this, or use it?

  • Hi ojking,

.ipa files are iPhone applications, which means you cannot open them directly in a standard ereader, like Adobe Digital Editions or the iBooks reader.

However, you can extract an EPUB file from an O'Reilly iPhone application, which can then be read in the reader of your choice. Instructions for doing so can be found here:

    http://answers.oreilly.com/topic/1813...

See the section called "Importing ePub from iPhone/iPod Applications" for the step-by-step process.

Hope this is helpful. Let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,
    Sanders
